Our pumpkin seed oil is produced from home-grown pumpkins of the "Slovenska Golica" variety. We deeply care about the quality, taste, and color of the pumpkin seed oil so we choose this indigenous species. Pumpkin seed oil is a typical product of Prekmurje, most often used by households in desert preparation, fish frying, salad preparation and ice cream dressing among other things.
Pumpkin seed oil contains triglycerides, phytosterols, proteins, minerals (magnesium, calcium, silicon, selenium, and zinc), unsaturated fatty acids, and vitamins (A, B1, B2, C, D, and E). It gets the typical green-red color from Chlorophyll like substances.
Pumpkin seed oil has many positive attributes. The healing effect of the oil is that it relieves inflammations and it prevents the formation of cancer formations. Scientists discovered that pumpkin seed oil reduces bad cholesterol and high blood pressure while strengthening the functioning of the bladder. It contains Delta-7-sterol, that acts against enlargement of the prostate.
Our buckwheat porridge is made from home-grown buckwheat of the indigenous "Čebelica" variety. We produce an indigenous sort because the buckwheat porridge thus has a higher quality and better taste.
